Oregon to Lose Change-of-Address Stickers

As of January 1st, 2020, Oregon drivers will no longer be required to apply a sticker on their driver license when they change addresses. Usually, the Oregon DMV mails you a sticker to place on your driver license after you’ve moved. These stickers weren’t very reliable, as they tend to fade or peel over time. Obviously, this runs the barcode and makes them unscannable. Oregon will save $550,000 a year on printing and postage costs, which will be go into the State Highway Fund to support local and state roads instead. Keeping your driver license information is very important, especially if you get pulled over by a police officer that needs to verify your credentials. After Oregon does away with change-of-address stickers, only Connecticut and Michigan will be the only states that use them. via KTVZ
