The NW Indiana Casino was $100,000 as part of a settlement agreement by the Indiana Gaming for allowing an 18-year-old man with a fraudulent Pennsylvania identification to repeatedly enter the gaming floor in November to play blackjack and wager at the sportsbook. The casino General Manager told the Gaming Commission they were “very sorry about the underage incidents that the man had a really good fake ID.” In addition to the $100,000 fine, the IGC ordered the casino to submit a corrective action plan that includes new procedures and retraining of security and surveillance when presented with a fake ID. The casino was also fined an additional $8,000 for three other violations. In one case an individual wasn’t put through the Child Support Arrears Delinquency Registry when winning a taxable jackpot. In another case a dealer was found to have worked at the casino for several months without a valid/active occupational license, and in a third instance it was discovered that table fill errors weren’t being discovered at the time the table fill process was being completed.
