On June 22nd, the Missouri Department of Revenue will begin issuing driver’s licenses with a new design. Some changes include designated header colors for different types of licenses, ghost images, and an updated laser perforation in the shape of a dogwood blossom.
New security features are also being added to deter counterfeiting and fraud.
Missouri residents will continue to have the option of obtaining a REAL ID-compliant version of the new driver’s license, featuring the gold star in the top right corner.
Missouri drivers can apply for their license, nondriver ID card or instruction permit at contract license offices. Locate a license office at dor.mo.gov/offloc.
