New Ohio Drivers License to Have Added Security Features

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing a new drivers license and identification (DL-ID) card effective July 2, 2018. When applying for the new cards, which will be issued by mail only, customers will have the option to choose a Compliant DL-ID that meets TSA national travel security requirements necessary to fly commercially or to access federal facilities or military bases or a Standard DL-ID.
