Directions on sending MemoPad data to TokenWorks

Install the Palm Desktop application on your PC. 

The Palm Desktop application is on the Handspring CD (green CD for Handspring, Orange CD for Palm).  Just follow the directions to install the CD and connect the Hotsync cradle to the PC.  For help, you can visit the Palm support web site at http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/win_desktop.html

  Hotsync the data with the PC

Connect the Hotsync cable to the IDVisor Z22 scanner and tap on the Hotsync Icon on the main screen of the Scanner.  If using a Handspring product, , the put the Handspring Visor into the cradle and press the cradle’s hotsync button  The hotsync alarm will sound from the Handspring Visor and the Hotsync dialog message box will display on the PC.  If you have trouble Hotsyncing, then check out the hotsync trouble shooting section at  http://www.palm.com/us/support/palmdesktop.html -

 Launch Palm Desktop

After a successful Hotsync, launch the Palm Desktop application. From the applications’s main screen. Hit the MemoPad button on the left menu bar.  You should see the same memo data that you see when you hit the memopad button on the visor.  If this is the case, then exit the Palm Desktop application.

Send MemoPad.dat file to TokenWorks

Open the File Explorer and search for a file called 'MemoPad.dat'  This file is typically located at C:\ProgramFiles\Palm\HotSyncName\memopad\memopad.dat where HotSyncName is the name you picked when doing your first Hotsync.   Note: For older systems, the file will be at C:\ProgramFiles\HandSpring\HotSyncName\memopad\memopad.dat

Once you find this file, just email it as an attachment to support@tokenworks.com
